Galilee Harbor Manager Position Available
Galilee Harbor Community Association (GHCA) is seeking a part-time Harbor Manager to provide administrative and logistical support to Sausalito’s working waterfront community of marine related workers and artists. Our 38-berth liveaboard maritime co-operative, located at the base of Napa and Bridgeway, was established over 40 years ago to help preserve Sausalito’s rich maritime traditions & nautical history.
The Harbor Manager will be a central hub to our lively, highly interactive waterfront community. You should have proven administrative, project management and communication skills in the following areas:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Accounts receivable/payable such as: vendor payments, rent deposits, expense reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations
Harbor Communications: respond to emails, messages, and inquiries from the general public
Provide support for GHCA Board of Directors, including timely distribution of Board agenda. Attend Board meetings twice monthly, follow up on Board’s request for action.
Provide support for General Membership. post notices, committee meetings, and events. Help coordinate volunteers, and harbor projects ranging from maintenance to special events
Communicate with external agencies including the State, County and City
The position is 20 hours a week; some onsite evening meetings are required. Includes employer-paid health benefits and vacation. There is some flexibility in arranging your work schedule to accommodate outside obligations.
This is a great job for someone who likes to work independently on a diverse range of projects, with an equally diverse and eclectic group of individuals, in an office that is equal parts outside and on the water.
